The day before Thanksgiving nearly five or six years ago, Jojo, now 10 years old, jumped off the Weiland’s bed in their Hampton home and let out a yelp. By noon the next day, Jojo could move, but her hind legs dragged behind her.

Franklin County Public Health on Wednesday afternoon issued a release stating Public Health and the Iowa Department of Public Health identified one additional case in the county. The individual is an elderly adult, 81 years or older, is self-isolating at home. No further information regarding the individual has been released.
The first case was confirmed on Sunday, April 5, with the second case confirmed on Friday, April 24.
