Dorothy Knoll, 98, of Bradford, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Grand JiVante in Ackley. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley.

Raymond Moore, 98, of Alden, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams with an 1 p.m. committal service in the St. Mark's Catholic Cemetery in Iowa Falls. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. 

Eleanor Mae Freese, formerly of Dumont, passed away at the Franklin Country View nursing facility in Hampton on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Woodley Funeral Home in Dumont from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services were held following the visitation at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Elton LaBree officiating. Burial took place in the Dumont Cemetery.

Annie Kuper, 98, of Iowa Falls, Iowa passed away on September 3, 2023 at Scenic Manor in Iowa Falls. Her funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Ackley. A graveside ceremony at Oakwood Cemetery will follow and then lunch at St. John's. Visitation with family will be 5-7 p.m. on Friday, September 8 at Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley. Memorials in her honor may be directed to St.

William Duden, 87, passed away on December 5, 2022, in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Graveside services will be conducted by Pastor Charles Johnson on September 9th at 10:30 with military honors at the Williams Cemetery. He will be placed next to his parents in the Williams Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.

Harold G. Nelson, 91 of Eau Claire, WI passed away on August 16, 2023. He was the son of Gust and Blanche Roemer Nelson. Gus was a 1951 graduate of Hampton High School . His career was in construction. He had lived and worked in Ankeny, Iowa, and later in Connecticut. 

In his spare time Gus was an accomplished wood carver and story writer. 

Sandy Cearley, 74, of Alden, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls with burial in the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls. The family requests those attending the visitation and service to dress casual.

Patricia Stock, 89, of Hampton, passed away Monday, August 21, 2023, at Franklin Country View in Hampton. Funeral services took place at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2023, at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hampton. Public visitation was held prior to the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial took place at Fairview Cemetery in Dows. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Patricia and her family.

Dennis Bell, 92 died Monday, August 7th at the Sheffield Care Center where he resided the past

two years.

Dennis was greeted in heaven by his son, David Paul Bell, 61, who passed away two hours before his father in a motorcycle accident.

Greg Sheriff passed away at Deery Suites in Cedar Falls, IA on August 1st, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. He was 72 years old.
