     He was born on August 21, 1937 in Harrison County, Missouri the son of Hanford and Beulah (Spaulding) Smith.

Don Gray, 77, of Hampton, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at the Franklin General Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29th, at the Sietsema-Atkinson Funeral Home in Hampton with a time of fellowship to follow at the Hampton United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the MercyOne North Iowa Hospice or the American Cancer Society. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Monday.

Ilomae “Snooks” Patton, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend.   Snooks passed away on April 30, 2021 at the age of 80 from complications related to multiple sclerosis for which she battled for 56 years.  Snooks and her husband, Rex, resided in Lebanon Ohio, from April 2020 to the present time, previously residing at their country home of 40 years in Rochester, Minnesota.

Todd Donald Koch, 59, of Geneva, Iowa, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond. He was born on February 2, 1962, in Hampton, Iowa, to Don Koch and Sharon Schear.
Todd graduated from Ackley Geneva High School in 1980 and from Hawkeye Tech in diesel mechanics. He spent most of his career working on the Geneva family farm, driving truck and working for Midwest Meter.

Johnny “John” Dwight Perkins, 75, of Hampton, went home to God following a brave fight with cancer, Friday, June 18, 2021. He was a patriotic conservative who was born on May 15, 1946, in Hampton, to Frank and Florence (Shaver) Perkins.

Cheryl Ann Crandall, 71, of Hampton, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021, at the Sheffield Care Center. She was born February 11, 1950, in Faribault, Minnesota, to Francis and Gloria (Schuller) Lawler.

Roy Ritland, 93, of Bradford, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Scenic Manor. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the St. Peter's United Church of Christ in rural Geneva. He will be laid to rest at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Saturday, June 19 at the church. Betty Flint, 90, of Hampton, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at her home in Hampton. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 19th at the First Christian Church in Hampton with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at the First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Hampton Public Library, Franklin County Fair Board or the Friends of the Cemetery.
