Roger E. Dohlman, 72, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2025 at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in rural Geneva. He will be laid to rest at a later date at the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

John Louis Harms entered his eternal life January 26, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2025, at Dumont New Hope United Methodist Church. Roy Edward Slocum, 48, passed away after a brief battle with cancer, on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City.

Marian Johnson, 92, former Hampton resident, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at Birdee Cottage Assisted Living & Memory Care, in Waterloo. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at the Hampton United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Hampton Cemetery. LaVerne Sheeler, 92, of Ackley, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Eldora Nursing and Rehab. He was laid to rest with a family graveside inurnment at the Lindenwood Cemetery, Geneva. A luncheon for family and friends was be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the Ackley American Legion. Carol J. Shear, 90, of Winter Park, Florida, formerly of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Watercrest Winter Park Senior Living. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Hampton United Methodist Church with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Darwin Freese, 81, of Allison, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Waverly Health Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the Dumont Reformed Church with burial in the Dumont Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Iowa Donor Network or Cedar Valley Hospice.

Maynard H. Bochmann, 82, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery – Vilmar in rural Greene. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Hampton is caring for Maynard and his family.

With very heavy hearts we are saddened to share the passing of our beloved son, McCallaster Foley. McCallaster passed away while training in Boot Camp at Fort Moore, Georgia. He was 20 years old. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2025 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls with burial in the Alden Cemetery. Barbara Jean (Seibert) Card, 89, of Dumont, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Woodley Funeral Home in Dumont. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Aredale New Hope United Methodist Church. Barb will be laid to rest in the Dumont Cemetery.

Mildred C. (Paullus) Pingel passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Hubbard Care Center at the age of 98. She was born April 19, 1926 to Fred and Clara Paullus of Hampton, IA. She was the 5th of six children. She had three brothers, Ralph, Robert and Rex and has two sisters Marie and Phyllis. Mildred attended Hampton High School and graduated in 1944.

Thomas A. King, 67, of Dows, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at his home in Dows.
Memorial graveside services for Thomas are being planned for a later date.
Thomas was born on March 24, 1957, in Mason City, Iowa, to Joseph and Phyllis (Angell) King.

Elwood J. Hestness, fondly known as “Woody,” passed away on December 12, 2024, at Mayo Hospital in Mankato, Minnesota. The third of eight children, Woody was born on August 10, 1927, in Lake Mills, Iowa, and was the last of Clarence and Albena Hestness’ children to be welcomed back to their heavenly home.
